![]() I don't know which ones actually do exclude it, but EE giffgaff O2 Three and Vodafone all list it as excluded, though EE may have changed on contracts started after sometime in 2012.

![]() I know EE works fine as i have contract with EE and have had for many years post 2012, it would be nice to know which of the others do or don't, but you can never tell until you test them,it happened to me many moons ago with a C9 Sim, one minute ok, next wallop, i will ask around, see if i can get some calls in from the other networks. I will report back.

![]() Using Piranha mobile as my primary line in Bermuda (I'm here for a couple of weeks). My phone first tried to auto-log onto I think CellOne but then transferred over to Digicel Bermuda. First as 2G but then as 3G. I'm using a CAT B100 harsh duty candy bar phone and am interested only in voice.
Dial out is as direct dial (not call back) which is handy. Prices are as advertised and are actually cheaper per minute than if I used prepaid Digicel or CellOne sim cards for international calls (local calls would be cheaper on a local sim but I'm primarily interested in overseas calls). Voice quality is very good. Sim Cards: T-Mobile (Mint), AT&T (Mifi device or Kindle), Koko Satphone: InMarSat Broadband US Wireless Data: AT&T postpaid, Sprint (Karma Mobility prepaid) Broadband International Data: SkyRoam VOIP: Skype |

![]() Hello, first post for me on here.
I came across this post while troubleshooting an SMS issue with a Piranha sim I got recently and hope the experienced Piranha users on here will be able to help. With the Piranha SIM installed, an unlocked Verizon iPhone 4S and an unlocked AT&T Nokia Lumia (8.1 version of OS) can receive but cannot send SMS messages. Piranha support have identified the problem as a failure to communicate with the correct Small Message Service Center. To the Piranha users on here, what SMSC number does your phone use? To check on iPhones: Input *#5005*7672# with the keypad and press dial. To check on Android: Dial *#*#4636#*#* to open a testing menu. The SMSC # is under Phone Information. It's at the bottom, update or refresh to get the number to display. To check on a Windows Phone: The SMSC number will display under the first settings menu encountered when the messaging app is opened. Background: I got a Piranha-Mobile Sim recently to use during a family trip to Canada. SMS Out failed on phones that are working correctly and Piranha identified the problem as an incorrect Small Message Center Number in the SIM/phone. I had no success in getting the SMSC # ( +48790993080) they provided to stick and, after they were unsuccessful in updating the SIM OTA, they mailed a new sim with different assigned telephone numbers. Before shipping, they verified that SMS IN and OUT worked. I inserted the new sim in a Nokia Lumia and SMS Out worked *once.* After that SMS stopped working correctly - sms can be received but not sent. The call records confirm one successful SMS Out on O2 in the UK and once on AT&T after I received it. Later attempts with the iPhone 4S and using T-Mobile on both phones were unsuccessful for SMS Out; SMS In does work on T-Mobile, however. I've followed all their troubleshooting directions and confirmed to them that the phones being tested have no SMS issues when not using the Piranha sim. All attempts to input the SMSC # manually have failed - the number will not save correctly/permanently and reverts to +7 in both the iPhone 4S and in the Nokia Lumia. Usually after start up or after renewing the carrier connection with GET Connection, the Nokia Lumia will display a different SMSC # but cannot send an SMS with that number active and reverts to +7 as the # after a failed SMS send. I reported the results to Piranha four days ago and I'm awaiting further contact. Sorry for the long post - just wanted to provide enough information on what has been done already. Any suggestions re additional steps? Thanks! |

I'll share that, in trying to use my Piranha SIM in the US in the past few days, I've found that I'm not receiving incoming SMS -- and this is the second time I've had to deal with unreliable SMS in the past few months. Additionally, I tried calling their US number to speak to someone about this problem and the lack of reliability in general, but calls to that number didn't go through (just silence on the line -- no ringing, no voicemail). This does not bode well for Piranha, and at this point I would not recommend their service. |

![]() No. It's now twelve days since I updated the support ticket with detailed information on the failure of the replacement sim. I haven't heard from them since. (The post had to be approved for publication by a moderator since I'm a new member on this forum so the "four days" mentioned in the post has by now grown to twelve days.)
