![]() Sounds something like Republic Wireless, a MVNO on Sprint (CDMA) that costs $20/mo for unlimited everything but the catch is that only usage on WiFi is unlimited. Usage on the cellular carrier is very limited. The phone automatically attempts to connect to WiFi signals and use them rather than cellular. Republic mentions that you can take your RW phone on international trips and use it where you have access to WiFi.

My read of this is that they are trying to be cagey and not telling you what they're about. They have unlimited international roaming but they don't support use outside the US. Seems fishy to me. It sounds like a rework of Republic, where you can use your Republic handset anywhere in the world as long as you have a high speed WiFi connection. |
