Of course you can use the PUK code to set a new PIN, but if you don't have the original box it's hard to have the PUK.
I don't know if calling the 155 they can help you, but I think they could provide you a PUK code to unlock your card and set a new PIN code. Of course speaking Italian would help you A LOT. By the way I suggest you to change your PIN to some you remember or simply disable it.
