Italy - WIND PIN
 

Hi all

I posted my successful experiences with a WIND prepaid SIM last month on http://www.prepaidgsm.net/forum/ital...ers-t2785.html

Now I've come to use it again this month and it's asking for a PIN. I remember this was printed on the credit card holder that I snapped the SIM out of. I did keep it but despite turning the house upside down I can't find it.

So my question is can I retrieve this somehow? I'm happy to call up WIND or whatever when I get to Italy but what info etc will I need? Anyone done this before? :o

I don't actually understand your reply. I had lost the PIN to unlock my SIM and wondered if there was a way to retrieve it.

As it happens at the last minute, just as I was about to give up, I found it :D

Needless to say I have now noted the PIN down elsewhere for the future.

I'd still like to know if there is a way to retrieve the PIN if I had lost the card though.

You can use puk if you lose pin

Of course you can use the PUK code to set a new PIN, but if you don't have the original box it's hard to have the PUK.
I don't know if calling the 155 they can help you, but I think they could provide you a PUK code to unlock your card and set a new PIN code. Of course speaking Italian would help you A LOT.

By the way I suggest you to change your PIN to some you remember or simply disable it.
