Rogers is offering their Canadian wireless subscribers free VOIP tied to their mobile number. It gives you free VOIP (both ways) to Canada and free Canadian text messaging on your mobile number. Right now you need a PC. I'm waiting to see if someone gets the service going on a mobile client. Google on "Rogers One Number."

Already been done: Dell Voice • free CA phone number • free calls • smartphone or PC

And you don't need a Robbers post-paid wireless plan (prepaid won't work!) in order to use it.
