![]() Hello all!
First of all, thanks to all for any help. Please assume I am not tech savvy, and need step by step details, lol. Because it is true. I was hoping to get advice on configuring a MiFi 2352 that I purchased. We will be using it to connect 2 iPhones and one iPad for wifi once in Italy. We will only be connecting wirelessly – we are not carrying any laptops or USB connections. I just received the unit (I am in the US). From what I have learned, I will need to purchase a sim card from an Italian carrier for a data plan. We arrive in Milan in a few days and travel for 3 weeks through Italy, ending in Rome. I do have a code fiscale number that I obtained on the internet to purchase a SIM card once in Milan. I am leaning towards TIM unless someone has a better suggestion. But how do I setup the MiFi unit? Do I need to do this before I leave the US while I still have the ability to cable it to a computer? I think I need to attach it to my home PC and input the codes for TIM while here in the US? I have gotten answers to insert the codes for APN (not sure what that means or what other codes I need). Which codes do I need to put in. Will there be settings I need to adjust on my iPhone and iPad to see the MiFi once it is set up? Or does it just appear as a wireless network once you put in the SIM? Once the SIM card is inserted, are there additional steps I need to do to activate the unit or have access to the TIM network? At this point, I won't have access to a laptop to connect to activate if that step is necessary after the card is purchased in Italy. Has anyone had any experience with the MiFi in Italy and any advice? Thanks in advance for any and all help! Just trying to make sure I can use the device I purchased without too many hours seeking tech help while in Italy. Thanks millions! |

![]() Sorry for my late answer...
![]() I never used a MiFi, but I suppose you have to set the APN there. TIM's APN is ibox.tim.it that's all you have to do, AFAIK.
