![]() I will travel in Italy for about 10 days, and I need a prepaid sim card just for data.
Just went over the sticky and previous Italy threads, I think I have everything understood. One small issue though: When I first started to use my phone for data in my home country, I had to send a SMS in order to get all the internet access points configured. Is there a similar procedure I need to do in Italy? or should it be configured manually (and if yes, how do I do it in a Symbian 9.5 based Nokia phone)? |

![]() You can receive an SMS with auto-configuration, but for Italian operators you have to set-up only the APN so it's faster to write it down on the phone settings rather than searching on Italian websites for the configuration-SMS page...
I don't know which phone you have, but usually you just need to go to Settings, Connections, Access Points. This page could help too: http://europe.nokia.com/support/learn-how/get-settings BTW here is for Wind: http://www.wind.it/it/promo/scheda552.phtml?sez=Privati Deceased Prepaids: CZ: Oskar, Eurotel; SK: Orange; DE: E-Plus, Aldi, Simyo; GE: Geocell; AM: Armentel; PL: Heyah, Plus; LT: Tele2; LV: Amigo; EE: Elisa; UA: Kyivstar; NZ: Vodafone; INT: UM, UM+, ICQSim. GSM/3G Phones: Nokia Lumia 630 dual sim |
