![]() Folks,
I will be in France for the month of October. I have an unlocked, jailbroken iPhone that I travel with. The best voice PAYG option for me looks to be on Bouygues, but I'd like to have access to data as well. Looking at the Bouygues website, I'm seeing conflicting info. On THIS PAGE, under the "Internet Mobile" dropdown, it looks to me like only Windows Messenger Live is available to PAYG customers. However, on THIS PAGE it looks like data-on-phone is available for €10 per month, "sans engagement." My French is rusty, though. Is there fine print anywhere that says this is only available as an add-on to contract customers? So... does anybody read French well that sees what my options might be? Or does anybody have experience using data on a Bouygues PAYG scheme? I've read about a lot of problems accessing data on jailbroken iPhones on SFR PAYG plans (nobody I've seen online seems able to get it to work), and since Orange has cancelled their €12 per month data add-on for PAYG customers, they're kind of expensive. Thanks! |

It's available for postpaid customers only. It seems that sending and receiving emails with a prepaid card is free: "Réception gratuite et illimitée de vos e-mails de votre messagerie Internet directement sur votre mobile en France métropolitaine." You just have to set up your iPhone to do so: http://www.entraide.bouyguestelecom....n_resolue/5379 I: Vodafone, Wind, 3; F: Bouygues Telecom; M: Melita; INT: Travelsim, Zeromobile. |
