![]() Hey everyone,
Just bought my buddy's first gen iPhone after he upgraded to a 3GS and will be taking it with me (unlocked + jailbroken hopefully) to Italy for the next 2 years beginning at the end of August. I was planning on getting a Vodafone SIM card when I arrive (my girlfriend is there and has the same carrier) but am still looking for other options... I am also considering just getting a prepaid voice SIM and relying on WiFi for internet (I should be at school most of the time) if a data plan is too expensive.. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for the help! P.S. Any recommendations about unlocking / jailbreaking, taking iPhone abroad, etc are also appreciated.. thanks again |

![]() Vodafone has a €3.00/week (500MB/week) option for the i-phone which is not bad.
At the same time Vodafone has the worst voice tariffs in Italy... I suggest you Wind or TIM/MTV which have some EDGE coverage, which can be useful with an i-phone 2G. Wind has the Mega1500 offer for 8€/month while MTV (using TIM network) has a very interesting 1GB/month offer for just 5€/month. Deceased Prepaids: CZ: Oskar, Eurotel; SK: Orange; DE: E-Plus, Aldi, Simyo; GE: Geocell; AM: Armentel; PL: Heyah, Plus; LT: Tele2; LV: Amigo; EE: Elisa; UA: Kyivstar; NZ: Vodafone; INT: UM, UM+, ICQSim. GSM/3G Phones: Nokia Lumia 630 dual sim |
