![]() Anyone ever use this yet? It seems to be a new 'post-paid' offer that comes without a contract and gives free Skype & Windows Live Messenger use (hence my quotes around post-paid).
Does anyone here know if the Skype client can be used on non-3 branded equipment & if not, can non-branded equipment that is sold by 3 be firmware-branded manually so the client can function on said device (Nokia E71 comes to mind)? Also, how does one usually go about getting this SIM? Would non-UK citizens qualify for it (considering no contract is involved, I would assume so but I still wonder)? Is it really free if it's never used for billable actions? |

![]() It is a contract, and you have to give payment details. But you can have Skype using a prepaid SIM anyway, free for life with no top-up needed. Also, for a top-up of £5 in 90 days, some data allowance and free calls to 3. As for phones, it is said that there will a Skype client for more at some time in the future.
