![]() After reviewing German prepaid SIMs here (page translated to English through babelfish.altavista.com server) I decided to go with Blau - and it was surprisingly easy. Didn't need a passport or ID of any kind for the purchase at a Saturn store. Name and address info was filled out online.
They're offering €20 starting credit if you sign up through referral before 03/03/2008. If you'd like one, message me with your name (first and last) and email address. I only have 10 to offer. The only potential drawback I see to using their service is that the data signal I'm getting here in central Berlin is GPRS as opposed to faster EDGE, but at €.24/megabyte I don't plan on using data much anyway. |

![]() EDGE is not implemented in the E-Plus network, but with a 3G phone (must support the European band @ 2100 MHz) you can get 384 KBit/s of bandwidth and HSDPA (> 1,4 MBit/s) is to be launched before year end (perhaps already at CeBIT next month).
