![]() For a three weeks project in Oporto, Portugal, I will need a prepaid mobile internet solution.
Which Portuguese company offers a UMTS prepaid scheme? 'Simple' UMTS/3G (384/64 kbps) is fully sufficient. Since summer 2007 there is Yoigo of Spain (prepaid & postpaid) charging a monthly minimum of € 7 for unlimited quantity of data, even VoIP is possible. The per-day-charge is a flat € 1.40 which gives you three weeks for just € 30. Is there a similar price plan available in Portugal? Since their change in tarification & pricing, roaming with an Italian Wind SIM is no longer an option. Thanks for your help! |

When I used the YOIGO prepaid deal over the summer, it was only available at GPRS speeds - VoiP wasnt an option at these speeds. have they now changed the deal to offer unlimited 3G? Richard |

![]() Yoigo is a brand of the Spanish Xfera group who took many years to finally enter the market. Xfera operate their own UMTS/3G only network at proper 3G bandwidth.
In all those areas where there is no Yoigo coverage available, Yoigo offers free inland roaming with Vodafone, for voice and GPRS only. |
