![]() How is their coverage and reliability? Are they good, or is it better to use 3M? If so we will have to go to Hamilton to purchase (and "register") a prepaid account?
We will be arriving in St. Georges. Is activation part of the purchase for Digicel too, and can any seller do this, or is activation effected with your first local call? Tnx. |

![]() Digicel has solid GSM coverage on Bermuda. You can get just the prepaid sim card and a few refill cards(or you can buy a phone/sim card kit). There are 2 dealers listed on their website in St. Georges that would should have the sim card: All Talk and Caffe Latte (both on York Street). Many other dealers in St. Georges that just have the refill cards. Suggest putting the sim card into your unlocked GSM phone in the store and making a test call to make sure all is well. http://www.digicelbermuda.com/produc...y=digicel_flex
Sim card also obtainable from Telestial in advance (noted for excellent customer service, but their cards do sell at a premium). http://www.telestial.com/view_produc...T_ID=LSIM-BM01 or occassionally will show up on ebay (how I got mine). Digicel is a chain that's present throughout the Caribbean and now on some Pacific islands. You can also refill your Digicel Bermuda card using a credit card on their Webflex system (minimum of $10 every 30 days), you can sign up for webtext to manage SMS online, and all their sim cards are preprovisioned for international roaming (reasonable rates on Caribbean islands; expensive in the US). Enjoy your trip to Bermuda! Sim Cards: T-Mobile (Mint), AT&T (Mifi device or Kindle), Koko Satphone: InMarSat Broadband US Wireless Data: AT&T postpaid, Sprint (Karma Mobility prepaid) Broadband International Data: SkyRoam VOIP: Skype |
