![]() Am going to MX shortly and have a rental cell coming to me from Mexitel.
The phone will be prepaid on Telcel and have GPRS capability (I believe he said it was a V400). The hotel where I am staying has WiFi in the lobby, but with air-time rates as cheap as they are (as advertised anyway), I would like to like to use my phone for data as well as for voice (obviously not at the same time), and maybe avoid having to leave the beach (and get dressed) to find WiFi. The main question I have is whether I can get away with using GPRS for data on a prepaid phone. (Another question that comes to mind if someone with experience wants to weigh in is whether the prices quoted by Mexitel for Telcel air time are realistic.) Will look for response here -- Thanks in Advance |
