![]() Hi,
Bought a yoigo sim from The Phone House in Rota and it works fine at GPRS speeds in a data card in the laptop. However, I have tried to recharge it at a variety of ATMs and, whilst they accept my UK Maestro, VISA and Mastercards to give me cash, none will allow me to go through the process of recharging the Yoigo sim. Of all the other alternative ways, in the Balearics, only the Post Office/Correos seems to be available to me, which I may be able to try on Monday. Any ideas why UK credit and debit cards wont work in ATMs, or any other electronic means of recharging. Many Thanks Richard |

![]() I think if you had a UK 'electron' card it would work. The Spanish love these as bank cards for some reason. AFIK these offer the lowest charge to the vendor.

![]() Called into an internet shop with a few Orange signs, (San Antonio), and asked if they topped up Yoigo Sims. The girl I asked said no, never heard of it, but the boss said yes. Tapped my number into a credit card type machine and, BINGO, topped up with 30 euros - so worth trying anywhere that tops up sims.
