Default Data Roaming charges - 14-02-2007, 12:03

I have just checked on 155.it and the credit is now showing as 0 for both PrePaid and MEGA NO LIMIT.

Yesterday I looked and the credit was over €200. When I look on "Dettaglio chiamate" - there are no calls and no data listed since the 12th Feb when the Credit was:

Credito principale prima 248,15 €
Credito principale dopo 247,65 €
Credito offerta prima 2.802,15 €
Credito offerta dopo 2.800,22 €

The card is being used in the USA at the moment. Can anyone explain why this might have happened?

Now that WIND have changed the pricing for MEGA plans - what is the best option for international roaming data?

Thanks,
Edmund

You mean you recharged 248€ on the prepaid card? It sounds a bit crazy... anyway that should be your credit, unless you kept on using data after you finished your MegaNoLimit at the crazy tariff of 0.90€/KB...

There are no other cheap solutions, anyway...

There is nothing in the "Dettaglio chiamate" to show that the card has been used since one SMS on 12th Feb but it may have been used yesterday, how can I tell?

I didn't put €200+ but my client did - because they are not often in Italy and it is hard to recharge the credit. Now it looks like it is all gone - if this is because of the new tarrif, I think it is a crime!

So, must we turn off the MEGA deal now? How can we do that with no credit?

If the MEGA deal is finished, what is the best roaming data rate available?

Thanks,
Edmund

Well, do you know if someone used the card yesterday? If so it's likely that they spent all that money... it's quite easy to finish such a credit with a 921,60€/MB tariff... yeah, it looks like a crime, but they are the conditions of the offer since December, as stated on Wind official site (and here too).
I suppose you can throw the simcard in the garbage bin now, unless you want to recharge it again and then deactivate the Mega NoLimit option sending an SMS to 4533 writing MEGA NO.

There are no best roaming data offers anymore, the ones from Wind where the only ones. There's still the small wap-pass with Wind with a € 30 bonus of data for €3.00/month. It's very small, but it still has the old rates.

I don't know if someone used the card yesterday - but I am trying to find out. But why is it not displayed on the "Dettaglio chiamate" list? Does it take some time to appear?

Did WIND send a message to each customer to notify them about this big change in cost? If not, how are they supposed to know? Stealing €250 is very bad.

Yeah they sent an SMS to everyone in November, if I'm not wrong. There's a discussion about it on this forum as well. If you bought your card later of course you didn't receive the SMS, but all the conditions are written on the website.

On the 155.it they should show you everything. It's not in real time but usually there's 1/2 days delay, not more.

The SIM card was bought last summer but it is in a data card which is in a wireless router which is in a boat. So the SMS message would not have been received and so the customer would never have known.

If only they had emailed.

I still see no items listed since the the 12-Feb and no data since 1 SMS on 12/2. No data has been recorded.

I honestly think that this is an illegal change by WIND - they have stolen real money but I don't know what to do about it.

I think there could be something wrong... did you try to dial *123#? What does it say?

Unfortunately the SIM card is in Florida at the moment but I will try to get someone there to test it.

Thanks for your help.
