Hi everyone. One of my customers has been having a hard time reaching her daughter's UM SIM #. Every time she calls the number, the call goes straight to voicemail. Her daughter has been able to receive calls from Italy, but calls from the US go straight to voicemail. (I even tried calling from my UM SIM located in the US & the call went straight to voicemail). Has anyone heard of this problem before? I don't know where exactly her daughter is, but she's somewhere in Europe (at the airport) waiting for her mom to call before her next flight. I have no idea what to tell them, and the mom is frantic. Thanks!

Tried a moment go to call my UM card (w/o answering). A direct call from Orange Poland made the phone ring. The same with SkypeOut. When I tried CBW, I couldn't even get a callback to my mobile or landline phones. From Enlinea, I got a callback and the connection Polish landline-USA-Liechtenstein mobile (roaming in Poland) was established - the phone rang...

Mine is working at present. CBW works as well. There is probably a problem with some channel of connections to FL1. I have tried some and did not pass for some reason. But stable lines work.

The fact that the call is going straight to VM sounds like the phone is either off or not in service area. At least the call is getting through to the UM #. Also, she may have already boarded the flight, and may have turned the phone off. She received other incoming calls. So, I'll keep trying.

Hi guys. Thanks for all the helpful tips. The mom called me today to say that she had the wrong number. (that actually makes no sense since I called the same number this morning and got her daughter's personalized VM greeting).

In any event, the problem appears to be solved, although it's not clear what happened. I'm just happy the SIM functions properly now.

By the way, United Mobile was EXCELLENT throughout all this. They really worked hard to find a solution, and kept me quite informed throughout the process.

I am glad it worked out. The error really made no sense. I could see a carrier blocking access to a number but not how a number could constantly get routed to voicemail.

The one thing that I was going to suggest was to have the girl force herself onto a new carrier. If the instructions you send out on your UM instructions doesn't have that in the tips, it might be worth adding.

I've had United Mobile for a long time (it was Riiing when I bought the SIMs). I think roughly fifteen or sixteen months now. I've been using a United Mobile SIM on a daily basis here lately and have nothing bad to say. (That by the way is why I stated on my geodessa post that I wasn't switching horses).

I do also own a UM card and have nothing bad to say for the time I have been using their service! Satisfied without any problem!
