![]() Agree with MATHA531.... stop wasting $ and time in US.
If you have the UM card in and the phone displays CINGULAR, you have service and are ROAMING on CINGULAR. UM has roaming agreements. If you can obtain a balance, you are in business. That means you are sending and receiving on the network using your UM card. To be clear -- with my Treo, the PHONEBOOK on the phone was useless for dialing out. It was possibile to dial from the SIM card. My Riiing card and I am guessing the UM card has built-in SIM tools & dialing short cuts/short codes. I had to use those to dial out. Good luck.
