I have a Treo 600. I believe dialing must be done FROM THE SIM SERVICES menu AND on the 600 you can only dial from the SIM card selection, NOT THE PHONEBOOK. IMO she will have to add the number, plus sign and all, to the SIM card and then select that # from SIM SERVICES.
