Sim Card for Jordan

Hi.
I don't exactly understand why you need to have a SIM card for Skype if you only use VoIP on WiFi.

I compiled this list at the end of last year. Haven't checked it since then. Domestic calls don't differ much between providers. http://prepaid-data-sim-card.wikia.com/wiki/Jordan

I'd appreciate your experience on this forum or on the wiki after your return.
