Unfortunately, reception in trains in Germany is generally terrible with all networks. Not what you'd expect.

Yeah... It's a bit strange - I was wondering whether it has something to do with the repeaters in the ICE? That they repeat the GPRS signal only?! It's so different than Italy, France, Switzerland or even Poland! BUT it's similar to Japan, where I have similarly found that it doesn't work (although the trains are going a few times faster...)
