GPRS in France

In April I will be sailing from the south of France to Corsica and then Italy. I need access to the internet by GPRS for weather forecasts. Once I get to Italy I can use a Wind offer but I'm looking for the cheapest GPRS deal in France - which has to beat the 5GBP (€8.5) / Mb which Virgin UK gives.

I see that Orange FR offers 'option internet' which gives 10Mb for €6 per month. I think that can be used with a prepaid 'mobicarte'longchamp pliage

(It says on that page that the 'option plus internet' is not available with mobicarte.)

Can someone confirm that 'option internet' is in fact available with a prepaid SIM?

Any cheaper options for France? Ideally I'd want >30Mb a month.

I used Joe Mobile, with a monthly bundle involving calls and 1GB of data for €11, worked fine in both phone and modem. You can start with 3 GB and unlimited calls for €20, and further 1 GBs can be added to either option during the month for €6 a time

Virgin UK can't charge £5/MB for EU data roaming as the regulated cap is 46p/MB. This being said, they also have a 3 month, 100MB Travel Pass for £10. If 50MB is all you need, the travel pack sure beats having to go through the hassle of buying local SIM cards.

FR volunteer specialist in mobile. Looks for free SIM with FR roaming Orange, Bouygues & SFR. Delight mobile OK. Piranha mobile OK until now with a bad issue at the beginning.
