Piranha now uses AT&T network also!

During my occasional rounds of the websites for the various SIMs I have I saw this at Piranha Mobile:

For AT&T** Roaming: Login into your online account, change your roaming profile to “AT&T profile USA “ and then reboot your handset.

But wait! There's more: [edited for relevance---sorry, unabable to format neatly. ]

• Calling a: Mobile Currency: American Dollar Calling From: United States Calling To: United States
• Piranha Roaming on Make Call/ Receive call/ Send SMS/ Voicemail / Data Per MB
• T-Mobile 0.14/ 0.09/ 0.15/ 0.11/ 0.38/
• AT&T** 0.30/ 0.23/ 0.23/ 0.27/ 0.15/

So, making calls, receiving calls, sending SMSs and voicemail is more expensive. BUT data is cheaper. It also does 3G with AT&T and I know of no international SIM card that does 3G on AT&T. Double bonus.

It seems to take 10-15 minutes for the change to 'stick'--multiple on/offs or reboots.
Also, Piranha seems to take a really long time to first access a network.

Since the last 6months piranha simcard is my 1st choice when abroad. All these years i have tried all availiable travel simcards but piranha combines a variety of services with very competitive rates. They just also reduced data roaming within EU to 0.25uk pounds=0.29 euro per mb. Their cc also informed me that direct dial no callback anymore with be implemented soon

The first time I used it was in China in April. I thought something was wrong with my setup.
After an hours contacted their CS. Turns out that about 2 hours or so later it was working - before I got a response. It worked fine after that and always logged on right away when ever I turned on the phone. To save themselves CS time - they should warn people it might take up to 3 hours, in some countries, to log on for the first time. Their rates in most countries are VERY competitive.

Piranha has been tweaking their website the last few days. If you find the edit area 'Voice' means voice mail. The blue 'edit' button makes the changes you choose happen. And the new red warning at the bottom:

Please NOTE if you are going to change your Roaming Profile it can take up to several hours to propagate across.

After over 24 hours of a change back to T-Mobile with no success,
I rechose the AT&T profile, logged out and back in and rechose the T-Mobile profile.
This time I am recording the time I chose and when it sticks.

10am Thursday after no change for 24 hours I switched back to the AT&T profile, logged out and switched back to the T-Mobile one. I left the phone off. Every couple of hours I would turn the phone on and it was still AT&T
10am Saturday still AT&T.
130pm still AT&T. I left phone on as it was not finding any network. I looked at 245pm Saturday and it was finally T-Mobile.
Sometimes it can really, really take a long, long time to switch networks.

Suggestion: get two SIMs if you need data and voice/SMS.
