I only have one other experience - when I asked to have the mailbox deactivated it was done and confirmed by email within 4 hours.

Once the MNP-transfer worked I´ll update the thread.

It was not necessary to send any SIM, only finding out the PAC from the old provider, and communicating that to the new provider...
