![]() I have a Vodafone SIM from my last trip to Italy 5 months ago.
I wanted to select a data plan for my upcoming trip using the web interface, but I kept getting the message "Il servizio non è disponibile" which according to Google Translate means "the service is not available." I know that one can also change features by calling 42070 (and I was able to call that for free from the US on the phone) and responding to the prompts, but my Italian language skills are close to non-existent so that is not a good option. I tweeted my problem in English to the Vodafone Twitter account. They responded to the tweet in English, and also tried to call me (I had the phone turned off because of the high roaming costs in North America.) It may be coincidence, but I logged back into my account and after days of getting the error message I was now able to select the options that I wanted to choose. BTW, I have always been able to top up my account on the Vodafone.it website using my US Amex card. |

![]() Interesting experience, ronwi! I had good experience also using Wind's customer service through Facebook. It seems there are smarter guys using the social networks' customer services...
