![]() Actually you can get free AT&T data roaming worldwide on a Kindle 3G in the experimental web browser when not in range of wi-fi. Have done this to get gmail, check-in for flights, check weather maps/forecasts (important when I was in Bermuda when a hurricane came close).
Plus I can get local or home newspapers, books, etc. over the same data connection (handy because they take up space and weight in luggage if not in electronic format).
