![]() Hey everyone,
I'm moving to Rome in September, for 6 months to a year, and wanted to buy an unlocked smartphone beforehand. Once I arrive in Italy, I was going to buy a prepaid SIM card. (I have dual citizenship and my codice fiscale) I have a few questions. If I understand correctly, I can just purchase a £10 SIM card and then add an unlimited data plan? Who has the best customer service and phone features out of WIND, TIM, CoopVoce and 3? Will I be able to use Skype's video chat, through a front facing camera on the smartphone, with family back in the US? Or is Skype somehow blocked? Can I also use Skype's international calling feature to call friends/family at home? Any help is appreciated. Thank you! |

![]() Just go and buy a prepaid sim, refill it and add the option you choose.
Take a look here: http://www.prepaidgsm.net/forum/ital...ata-italy.html You have to choose an option which allows you VoIP (Skype). Customer service is usually bad if you do not speak Italian. 3 has the worst one (and you pay for it). Better with TIM and Wind. Deceased Prepaids: CZ: Oskar, Eurotel; SK: Orange; DE: E-Plus, Aldi, Simyo; GE: Geocell; AM: Armentel; PL: Heyah, Plus; LT: Tele2; LV: Amigo; EE: Elisa; UA: Kyivstar; NZ: Vodafone; INT: UM, UM+, ICQSim. GSM/3G Phones: Nokia Lumia 630 dual sim |
