flying to marco polo airport, somehow getting to mestre to stay at a hotel opposite the train station in mestre for convenient visits to venice.

do any of these locations offer a convenient opportunity for picking up a SIM? i need voice (international calling) and data (light email usage). two days only.

carrier recommendations? apn settings?

For 2 days I don't think it's worth to look for a sim-card. You'll probably have wifi at your hotel. BTW Mestre (=mainland Venice) is a big city with plenty of phone shops so you won't have any problem to find one.

thanks for the reply. i will pick up a SIM, both out of necessity as well for hobby. i made a codice fiscale and want to use it

i was simply wondering if either the airport or train station has a kiosk for any of the carriers. if not, i'll ask at the hotel and find a store in mestre.

There are 2 Wind resellers in via Piave (number 114 and 56, close to the station) and three other not far away from there.
No phone shop at the airport, AFAIK. BTW I'm sure there's plenty of phone shops around the station in Mestre, expecially around via Piave.
