Just a note: on their Facebook page I read that they charge per 128kb increments.

What is the definition of a "session"? If you were going to make a series of calls, is that one session or several? Or, if you do a Google search and click on a series of links - is that one long session or a series that can each make you round up a bunch of short downloads?
I think I'll ask them.
I often am on a "session" where, for periods of time, no data is going up or down.

Make use of T-M's UMA/wifi free calling from any place in the world with access to wifi. I use an LG G6, wife an S7)
A/o Oct 20, 2013 no need for intl prepaid as T-Mobile U.S. includes voice roaming at 20¢/min (in and out)., unlimited text (in and out), and unlimited data in 140+ countries.

My Plan -[6 lines] U.S. T-Mobile unlimited minutes (incoming and outgoing), unlimited text, fast data on each line. that $145/mo. total! . (In U.S. no surcharge for calling a cell.) If a line exceeds 2G of data in a month, pay $10 more for that line. [That only happens a couple times/year.

usually a session is defined from the time where your phone connects to the GPRS service (when the G, E or 3G or H symbol appears on your screen) to the time where you disconnect the GPRS service again. Most providers still have some smallprint like "at least one session rounding per day / per hour" etc.

That makes sense. Also, they should count it as a single "session" if you lose signal and reconnect within 2 or 3 minutes.

It would be nice to see, but I wonder ...

That's where unit sizes in the billing will come into the picture, and might affect people's decisions on thing like leaving an email client constantly checking or just doing manual updates a few times a day

yes, depends on the settings on the providers APN. For example T-Mobile germany holds the session open for up to 60 minutes in case the subscriber is getting out of service area and re-entering. Other providers can set different times of course.
