Prepaid data - INDIA (Mumbai) - 2-6 weeks

Does ANYONE have any ideas on getting a broadband internet solution up and running for a trip to india? I need something for the end of Jan-Feb, would like to have a pre-paid monthy, with unlimited data and as much coverage as possible. A dongle would be best, or a portable router. ANY IDEAS are GREATLY APPRECIATED

First hand report:
- people were using some Tata Indicom CDMA dongles with something like 2GB monthly allowance and then speed throttled. Usable, even skype conferences possible.
- managed to register a normal vodafone SIM on my name with hotel address (took an unbelievable amount of time, no computer available, they were doing the registration via SMSes, need some passport photos, etc). Only edge available (and when you go to a different indian state you need to be careful because they have this national roaming so you want to lock to Vodafone network all the time or data will cost you extra). Otherwise really cheap, I think like 5$ for 2GB monthly (which you'll never use), national calls not even worth mentioning, international probably expensive but with constant email and IM access not really needed for most people.
