15-05-2009, 11:59 Hello, I'm going to visit my grand-uncle in North Tonawandy, NY in June/July (4 weeks) and we're going to be in NY City for a week. I'd like to use my iPhone 3G to check emails and send/receive calls & SMS by using a prepaid card. Is there any recommendation for the state of NY? Never been there before and I have no idea what's best for me. I don't mind paying a bit of money but have to make sure that I have at least 100MB per month. I'd like to pre-order a card and have it send to my uncle over there. I'd be happy if you could give me a recommendation. Best regards from Bonn, Germany, Sebastian |

Country: | 14-07-2009, 11:24 Your problem is that you have an iPhone. ATT has a 100 meg prepaid option, I've heard rumors that they are not letting the iPhone on it because too many people were using jailbroken ATT iPhones on it. ATT actually has a prepaid plan for the 2g iPhone, but is booting 3g users from it. You might want to jump into this thread over at Howard's Forum (in the iPhone forum) where a Canadian (who frequently visits the State's) is asking the same thing as you: HowardForums: Your Mobile Phone Community & Resource - Is there a way to get data on a prepaid plan for an unlocked iPhone 3g 3.0? Many people have got their devices running on the T-Mobile USA prepaid Sidekick option, but there is some minor system tricking going on: http://www.modmyi.com/forums/t-mobil...-iphone-2.html |

Country: | 14-07-2009, 13:45 I've only heard of one prepaid SIM offering unlimited iPhone data in the US. I have never used it, but I did order a Digicel Jamaica from the seller and service was good. Mr. Simcard - Now You're Talking. iPhone Prepaid Sim Cards USA, Worldwide. I have an Original iPhone with regular T-Mobile prepaid. I don't think that is what the OP has though. SIM - T-Mobile USA * T-Mobile D * T-Mobile UK * Wind (it) * Vodafone Cz * Beeline Санкт-Петербург * APUA PCS (Antigua) | |
