Report on using Orange Mobicarte in France

My understanding is that you can get Skype running on an iPhone by using one of the programs for jailbroken iPhones that allows a 3g connection to masquerade as a wifi connection.

thanks all, this thread has been very informative. i am going to france next month and was wondering how easy it would be to setup my iphone to have a local number while i'm there.
