![]() Keep Talking in Europe. They bill you alter each call. Not pre-paid. Price seem OK to call abck to the US and other parts of Europe.

![]() Seems like $60.00 a year is charged if used are not. It is kind of high price to pay.

![]() I recommend the French KTE SIMs to friends who are regular visitors to France. One is a Brit who spends much of July/August there, plus a couple of Paris runs per year. The other couple is a French/American couple living in New York who cross the pound two or three times a year. In both cases, it is easier than buying a prepaid each time and they keep the same number. The per minute rates matchup with most French prepaids which is not a complement. Coupled with a callback service (and the occasional direct dialing when the calls don't go through or you are in a hurry) and they do ok on the service.
France is a difficult country for me because I cannot come up with great solutions. They may be part of the EU, but I actually do better with Dubai (which is openly protectionist) than I do with France which pretends to be open. |

![]() Actually the $60 fee is not entirely accurate. It looks to me like you pay a $29 fee to get the SIM card and use it for a year. You are charged after each call, not prepaid. If you do not use at least $60 of calls during that year, they charge you a $60 fee to continue using the SIM and keep the number. Or for another $29 you then can get a new SIM and a new number. I have used an EKIT Passport SIM and their prices are higher and they use a small connection fee. And they charge for a SIM too. Passport however has free incoming calls in many places.
Here's the wording on that $60 fee. "Your SIM card line is activated for one year from the date that we shipped it to you. The service will automatically renew at no extra cost provided that within the 12 month period you have made $60 worth of line usage*. If you did not reach that usage amount after the 12 months, then we will contact you and will offer you either to renew the line for $29 or to disconnect your service. Note: If we disconnect the service and you would like to renew it at a later date, you will be assigned a new number and will not be able to keep the same cell phone number that you previously used." |
