Need info on Tim Italia and Alice mail

I have a TIM SIM all charged up for my upcoming trip to Italy, and I have made the required changes to the TIM email to link an Alice account with my phone number. I can send email to my Alice box, and read it from the web. Here is my problem: I cannot find how to activate SMS notification to inform me that an email has arrived in my Alice mailbox.
It used to work fine with the TIM mailbox.

I am presently in Canada, but I can and do receive SMS on my SIM TIM. Many are from TIM about specials and every time I logon to my web account I get an SMS informing me that someone just logged on to my account. So, I should be receiving the notifications, if they are activated.

Can anyone shed any light on this ?

Thanks for the link but I have already created my Alice Account, and linked it to my TIM number. Here is an email I got from Alice after creating my account:

Personal Area: 300 MB di spazio per archiviare i tuoi file online, avere il tuo sito Web personale e creare il tuo album fotografico
Cartella MMS, SMS, FAX: per visualizzare gli MMS ricevuti sul telefonino, gli SMS che puoi memorizzare qui inoltrandoli al 4949 o i FAX ricevuti sul tuo numero mobile
Cartella Messaggi vocali e Messaggi video: per ascoltare o visualizzare anche da WEB i messaggi voce o video che hai ricevuto nella tua segreteria i.box

Vuoi utilizzare la casella di posta Alice con il client di posta del tuo computer? Configura i seguenti parametri:

As far as I can see, it looks like you have to activate Push Email in order to get SMS notification, which does not make sense to me since notification is redundent if you have Push Email. I have attached a partial screenshot of my account in Alice.

Found it !!! After scouring the Alice site, I eventually got at the menu where I could setup the notification. So I modified my profile, and it works.

Problem is I cannot repeat it (yet), so I cannot give the sequence for the benefit of others. I will post back when I find out how I did it...

Think that I can't have the same option because my number has a TACS prefix (330 and 6 digits)

Here is what needs to be done:
- Go to to www.alice.it, and login with username and password ( Mail E Servizi Frame on the right)
- This will bring you to your mail management page.
- Go back to the main Alice page by clicking on the ALICE logo at the top left
- You will now see, at the right in the Mail E Servizi frame the NOTIFICA MAIL menu choice.
Please note that Cookies must have something to do with this because it works from my PC at home, but not from my PC at work. At work, when I get back to the main Alice page, It appears I am no longer logged-on and the Mail E Servizi frame asks for my logon.
BTW, my number starts with 333...

Hope this can help others.
