Andy - thanks for pointing that out; I totally misunderstood So basically it's a just a callback service. Explains why I can't find a VOIP provider who has this service (well, except Vonage who has it for WiFi). Also explains why it used such little data.

I also tried EQO tonight. It's a desktop application that interfaces with Skype, so your desktop must be on (not hibernating) for it to work. But, like Mino, it uses data to trigger the call and then you get a callback. It was weird when I made my test calls as the call is simultaneously occurring on the computer, so you can hear it on there and the mic pics up whatever's in the background. The rates aren't too much better, so I don't really see the value or point here, esp. since you need to have your computer active for it to work.

OK, that makes more sense. It's a callback service with a Java/GPRS trigger system.

After listening to the VM I left with EQO via Skype, I am NOT impressed. A ton of echo, very difficult to understand.
