![]() It started at last
![]() 1 PLN = 25.65 eurocent Base rates are the same for prepaid and postpaid: 0.49 PLN/min voice calls/videocalls (of course 1/1 debiting, no setup fee), SMS/MMS 0.15 PLN. As to data, at the moment WAP over GPRS only is available and it's pretty expensive ![]() Postpaid plans available as "money packets" or "minimum fee plans" - you can spend money for what you want (except premium rate services). Each plan contains more credit that is really paid what significantly decreases real costs Name - Monthly fee/Amount of money to be used Play Abonament 50 - 50/70 Play Abonament 70 - 70/100 Play Abonament 100 - 100/150 Play Abonament 150 - 150/300 Unused money will not be transferred to the next month. All the plans are available as the 24-months contracts. The 50 PLN plan is also available as an unlimited-term contract. Prepaid SIM 30 PLN/30 PLN valid 1 month Top ups Money spent/extra credit 10 PLN - 49 PLN /no extra credit 50 PLN – 69 PLN /20 PLN 70 PLN – 99 PLN/ 30 PLN 100 PLN – 149 PLN/ 50 PLN 150 PLN – 300 PLN /150 PLN All nominals are available in electronic form. 30/30 On top-ups are available as scratch cards, too. Because Play has higher termination rates that the "Big Three", it will reward for incoming calls: 1 outgoing for 2 incoming. Vocemail - free International calls and roaming - debiting 30/30 Zones 1 - Europe/USA/Canada 2- rest of the world 3- satellite networks International calls zone 1 - 2 PLN/min zone 2 - 4 PLN/min zone 3 - 10 PLN/min International SMS - 0.50 MMS 3.00 Roaming - two tables, similar to Orange or Sami Swoi. Incoming calls zone 1 - 1 PLN/min zone 2 - 2 PLN/min zone 3 - 4 PLN/min Sorry, I'm busy now. Full details this evening. My first impression - not a bad deal especially at hight plans/top-ups ![]() |

![]() Yep, not a bad deal. But it's not really groundbreaking, either - there are indeed cheaper calls, but more expensive data and the same old validity length issues with topups. We'll see if the other operators adjust their prices to match, as I hope they will. With a 150-Zl topup, calls are 25 Gr/min with Play - pretty cheap.
The 2 for 1 thing is interesting, though. ![]() Finally, I found some time to type a few words more .
About bonus top-ups in Play: it's not so good - they can be used only for national calls, SMS, MMS and data (and not premium rate services of course). Moreover, they last for 30 days only - if you don't want to lose the bonus subcredit (called "Premia") you must make a large top-up with another bonus (min 50 PLN) before expiration of the previous bonus. The reward for incoming calls is 1 minute of outgoing national calls for each 2 FULL minutes of a single incoming call (from any operator, but not in roaming). Each reward is valid for 30 days since the incoming call. The usage order/sequence of credits (where applicable) is 1. Rewards for incoming calls 2. Premia bonus top-ups 3. Main credit Play offers with the first prepaid in Poland with the full spport of services like call waiting, call barring, conference calls, call diverting to any number. The bad thing is when the outgoing calls expire, the main credit as well as "subcredits" are all lost ![]() Data connections are happily available not only for WAP but also for "normal" Internet. To summarise, it's a good voice/SMS offer from the operator which considers itself to be a "multimedia" one ![]() I sent details to Effendi so that he could update the page... |
