![]() No, I really think it's impossible.
But you can easily find one on eBay, I suppose, or in Spain when you go there. ![]() Our 16-year old son will be going to Spain on a 10-day school trip and we can't trust him to find the time and transportation to buy and replace a SIM card. Also we want to know the phone number in advance.
My husband is in Italy now and we thought he might be able to get a Spanish SIM card at a Vodafone store. Alternatively, we have a Mobal which we could lend to our son, but we're concerned he will rack up the bill with in-country calls to the other kids on the trip. Do you know whether the Vodafone passport plan purchased in Italy would be a good deal for Spain? |

![]() The Voda passport is not bad, but it works only for calling back to Italy, not any other country. Anyway I suppose a 16 years old guy is smart enough to go to a phone shop in Spain and get a prepaid sim-card

![]() While it's true that purchasing Vodafone Passport in Italy will not help all that much for calls back to the USA from Spain, a workaround is to also buy an Italian phone card with a local Italian number...then if using Vodafone Passport IT in Spain, you make the call to the Italian number on the calling card which 1ould be a call to Italy and pay the Italian rate with the surcharge (€1??) and use the minutes on the Italian calling card which will be very very cheap.
Of course, you will get the free reception of calls while in Spain albeit with the €1 surcharge per call. |
