I have a Wind prepaid card here in the UK. I used to be able to top it up online at mondowind.wind.it but recently this has refused to take foreign credit cards. There's a thread about it here:

You could try it though - Wind's procedures seem a bit random to me and it might work. Be aware though that the error message it sends when it annuls the order is misleading (it's rubbish in fact.)

If you can still use the card you may be able to get someone in Italy to buy a top-up, send you the number, and for you to send it to 4242. (I think that's the way it works, if not one of our Italian friends will no doubt correct me.)
