I think that's a dirty marketing trick basing on two ideas: 1) A greedy customer sees a bargain "You pay 20€ only and you get 3000€", not the formal equivalent "You pay 20€ only and you get 3.33 MB". Receiving profits at 150:1 ratio is hard to resist. 2) So far so good, at least as long as the customer doesn't exceed the limit. Otherwise, he/she doesn't see 900 €/MB (or 921.6€/MB if to count 1 MB=1024 kB) but "mere" 0.90€/kB. Who will think about it when 3000€ to be used seems to be so much and some people may even read MB in place of kB (as Andy did). I wish I were wrong ![]() |
