![]() I saw somewhere that GSM has come to Honduras. Our site does not list anything. Does anyone have any experience? A neighbor is going on a mission trip and I have offered him my UM phone. It has 19 ecents inbound.

I was looking at the 1900 offering (phone I have to loan does not have 850). Could not make much sense of the PREPAID offer -- did not see pricing. That is what I was mainly interested in to compare with UM. The postpaid had SMS as $0.05 and minutes around $0.25. Now is that US of Honduran $? Why don't they show the rate in their native currency? From Yahoo Finance I get: Currency Conversion Results Symbol U.S. Dollar Exchange Rate Honduras Lempira Bid Ask USDHNL=X 1 Sep 15 18.895 18.895 18.895 18.895 seems to mean $1 = 18.9 Lempira. ![]() Ill be in Roatan next month, I have a global sim which has support for Honduras and I have 850. Just wondering if anyone has any first hand knowledge of any coverage on Roatan and any other input which might be useful.

![]() My friend decided NOT to take my UM card. From the response I got here.... and from looking at HOFO and the German sites, Honduras is not a very popular destination.

![]() I was in Roatan, I had access to one network with Yackie even though it wasnt listed on their coverage page. I picked up a total of 3 networks. I am sure the mainland has at least those, so unless you're in the jungle I would assume coverage should be ok.
