Yackie - Is anybody still using? [merged]

Well, I contacted Yackie about these issues because next week a friend is going on a cruise that will take them through Mexico, Jamaica, Cayman and some other country, and wanted to be reachable. Yackie is supposed to work in these countries, so I wanted to let him use my sim, if I could top it off and iron out these issues.

Here is the response I received below.

This is an issue with the DID and with the new DID provider that we will have soon this issues will be solved. At the moment its nothing we can do to change it.

A couple of observations:

There is a few seconds of dead air before the phone rings. I thought the caller userd to hear a message that indicates connecting (connecting please wait...) or so.

After the VM greeting there is no tone to indicate to the caller that they can proceed to leave a message. Just dead air!

Anyone else notice the same things above?
