Jibku, did you receive this in response to a contact you made to them?

Yes, it was a response to a mail I sent on Sept. 10, informing them that I had received no refund and was still interested in a SIM for free.

I see...

At least they got back to you. Even though it took 10 days.

It's really beyond me that a simple refund is taking this long. Yackie should at least provide some kind of detail to us regarding what is going on. These 1- 2 line answers just do not cut it! At this point, what really matters to me, and probably most of the others, is getting my full refund. Receiving the sim to try out is of secondary importance.

I feel for all of you who have been abused by these people, but I am saddest for "what might have been."
Sorry to hear about everyone's experiences with Yackie.

I seriously considered buying a Yackie SIM earlier in the year when they launched, but decided against it as I was (a) reasonably happy with my Riiing?UM) + Callbackworld arrangements.

I also had my finger sburned with Buytel, the Irish `international' SIM service a while back, so am wary of startups like Yackie.

Hope everyone gets their refunds. If all else fails, TALK to your credit card issuer!

I see YackieMobile posted another update on this thread.

According to the latest post, SIM has been mailed out from Florida for USA folks. I guess I'll believe it when I see it. Also, YackieMobile claims that only "a few" people have not received their refund. I would like to know, who here actually received a refund (not charge back thru your CC)?

I ordered my SIM back in June/July timeframe. I did recieve my SIM (after a whole month waiting for it) and it worked great for 2 weeks. Then the whole dead DID fiasco.

Please do post a message here if and when you receive either the refund and/or the new SIM.

I just saw that too.

I will definitely post if I receive anything be it the new sim, refund, or the DID#/login mentioned in the latest post. If it comes by tomorrow, I may be able to test it on my trip and report back in 2 weeks or from there...Leaving for Nigeria tomorrow evening, with brief stops in Amsterdam and London.

I email this today:
Quote:
Hello,
I did not receive any SIM card or anything at all from you since I placed my order at the beginning of August.
I was debited of 68.81? on the 10th of August 2006.
I have received NO refund since then.
Should I contact my bank to advise them that this debit came from a fraudulent transaction?

I await your reply.
I already send 3 mails, without any response.
