![]() Well....what make me sad is that at the begining the members YackieMobile and YackieTech always were here answering all questions an explaim the problems. They really showed that would like solve and showed a good and new SIM. But at 12th/Jan will make one month that any of them write something here. And the problems begin to be bigger and bigger.
I really don't understand their position about the network operators. How JohnDoe wrote, how to know if the SIM works or not if all shows that it is ok......Maybe in the manual should write "EVERYTIME when you arrive in a city and you check that there is a network, you should go to a payphone and make a call to your self to know if it works or not", because never you will know if it works till you return and some one tell you that tried to contact you many times without success. The Yackie idea is great, the rates is good, it works well in many places, but not let you confortable to trust on it and used it. You always will travel thinking that maybe it will not works. And there is no meaning to be like this. I full agree with JonDoe. Why make agreements with so many network operators, let the SIM with only the networks that really works, them your mobile will not be confuse and will not change all time to networks that NOT works. Well talking talking and more talking..... Some one beleive that Yackietech or Yackiemobile will appear here to asnwer? I know that they will read but don't beleive that will asnwer. I hope that at least they try to make the SIM better ASAP. Good luck to all. |

![]() What about a test code which either triggers an SMS or a test callback.

![]() Yackie, may actually be having some problems with some DIDs. As I mentioned above, my voicemail does not work (just dead air) when the DID is called, but it works when the +354 number is called.
Yackie is aware of this since I opened a ticket with them on 12/27. The ticket is still in "open" status. So, I am assuming they are working on it. A couple of emails to them regarding the status did not yield any response though. As for yackiemobile and yackieTech, I am also surprised we have not heard from them in a while. May be they are on vacation. ![]() Sim cards: AT&T (Contract), 3 UK, Piranha Mobile |

![]() I just came back after a 15 day trip round Europe Holland, Portugal and France.
My Yackie mobile worked beautifully. I had my Brazil mobile diverted to my local Yackie number so everyone who called my Brazil mobile was able to reach me without even noticing that I was abroad. Sound was loud and clear. The only issue is that I gave my Iceland number to some people in USA and Cyprus. They were not able to call the Iceland Number. |

Currently in Grand Cayman. Yackie worked initially only on Cable and Wireless but not all callbacks were successful or occured only after a long time delay. Digicel initially failed, and a message came back to use menu based calling, which would just bring up the same message. After a few days, Yackie on Digicel worked fine with no message to use menu based calling. My Digicel Bermuda sim will also work here, but it is best for local rather than international calls on a price basis. Just tried the test sms on Yackie using Digicel Cayman. Worked fine. Sim Cards: T-Mobile (Mint), AT&T (Mifi device or Kindle), Koko Satphone: InMarSat Broadband US Wireless Data: AT&T postpaid, Sprint (Karma Mobility prepaid) Broadband International Data: SkyRoam VOIP: Skype |

![]() My yackie card worked in Costa Rica, but could not receive or send SMS. and only the US provided number would ring the phone. Yackie has still not given me any support, and now I cannot even access my account there. Customer service number will not answer, and it seems like I am locked out of support.
Anyone else having problems with Yackie. Will leave soon for SE Asia, but must have a working card with SMS. |
