When I bought my tele.ring SIM in September in Bregenz, no identification was required (that I recall), unlike in Germany and Switzerland.

CA: SaskTel, Wind postpaid; Rogers, Bell postpaid iPad flex plans; US: T-Mobile postpaid data, prepaid voice; PureTalk (AT&T MVNO) prepaid voice/data; AT&T prepaid iPad plan

Hardware: Too much but notably iPhone 5, iPad Mini Retina LTE, Moto G LTE (N.A. version), iPhone 4. All unlocked.

I don't think they require identification but at least for bob, they require a phone or online registration be completed before the card becomes active (at least that's what I managed to understand with my limited german - good enough to order a couple of beers and schnitzels).

In Austria you can get prepaid sims from eety, they offer really competetive tarifs, e.g. calls to Canada mobile networks and landlines 0.121 €
(I've had the internetaddress of a german dealer but I can't remember/find it)
