Dumb question.... you have tried a foreign SIM in your phones, correct? They all allow the phone(s) to boot up, correct? In other words, you are sure the RAZR is unlocked, right? If it was originally from T-MO, I recommend trying a NON-T-MO SIM. Nowadays, many T-MO phones will boot with a T-MO German SIM.... that is not truly unlocked.
Good luck.

I tried writing them (in German), and they weren't really sure what the problem could be. However, as I only noticed the problem a few hours before I left for Europe, I didn't have a chance to ever resolve it. I'm not sure how successful I can be with a refund, because a) I already gave call4t their positive rating (wasn't thinking) and B) Riiing is now U-M.
I have tried Lithuanian and Estonian SIMs in my cell, and both work just fine, so I'm sure my phone is unlocked. Also, if you insert a SIM into a locked Moto phone, it gives you a different error.
