We have already started introducing new breakouts and rates, a full list will be published when complete. Countries activated to date: Poland, Israel, Afghanistan with many more to follow.

It's worth a look around from time to time, especially with wholesale termination rates dropping again soon (or maybe it's happening about now).

Amongst other providers it's possible to find retail rates to the main network number allocations for from about a couple of pence or below three cents a minute.

With the Dellmont brands it happens that they launch on cheap rates and gradually go up after a while, but some of them do occasionally drop prices for some destinations, and below a cent a minute is possible, though I can't guess how long that will last. They have split rates recently as you mention, with higher rates to various prefix ranges

Network issues?

Must be having network issues. Right now I got this message:

It could take a few minutes for your phone to find a network.
When I tried to manually choose a network it showed X by T-Mobile!

Piranha Mobile had issues yesterday.

Piranha Mobile had issues yesterday.
Probably due to their US relationship with Telna North America.

did you try to register to the 3rd network serveral times in a row? sometimes they are barring networks which are basically allowed to steer traffic to cheaper roaming partners.

willemijns 22-05-2013 13:18

yep, in manual mode i have an error...

dg7feq is correct "did you try to register to the 3rd network several times in a row? sometimes they are barring networks which are basically allowed to steer traffic to cheaper roaming partners."

you may have to try two or three times when manually searching networks,Piranha set roaming profiles to steer to the strongest signal and cheapest network.
In France all networks are priced the same, the only difference is B&Y which does not have Data roaming, the same network you are manually trying to connect too.

Please contact Admin directly for refund as per there Terms and Conditions.

i have tried to force for the fourth time and it works now...

what is a barring network ? i have created the subject here
http://www.prepaidgsm.net/forum/off-...html#post42674

it was funny they had a red cross on "bouygues telecom" and the mobile was able to connect on it after forcing it :-( it's a pain of the ass..

FYI XXSIM was able to connect at the beginning of my subscription to the 3 main FR networks and after 1 month, they lost one and the second month he lost two ^^

We have explained that it is called Steer or roaming, we steer the sim to the best coverage possible i.e Orange and SFR, Bouygues does not have the same coverage as the others and we do not have a Data roaming agreement unlike the other two, we do this for the benefit of all customers and not on an individual preference. There is no difference in call or SMS costs, if there were we would steer to Bouygues. The only time it would automatically register on the Bouygues network is when you are out of coverage area of the other two networks. We do not recommend customers to force networks unless necessary.
