Don't mean to promote another site but this site seems to have some current info.

It's ok. because it's the best site for data in English right now
But i don't have problems to write Spain's 4G/LTE situation on this forum again: 4G/LTE is only available in major towns so far. On prepaid it's only available for a surcharge on the network operators, not the MVNOs. movistar and orange: only for contract plans; Vodafone: on some Yuser prepaid plans. Yoigo: on one prepaid plan so far. You need to know that you pay a big surchage for 4G/LTE in Spain on PAYG so far. Better check before, if it really is available at your specific location. |

When Vodafone announced the "Vodafone Internacional Smartphone" SIM they mentioned that it would support 4G. 15€ for the SIM including 1GB and 60 minutes calls to 35 countries (max 30 days):
http://www.vodafone.es/particulares/...repago/?tab=03 For 3G data in Spain lycamobile.es seems to be one of the most economic offers this month (Movistar network but no tethering): 1 GB for 3,75€, 2 GB for 7€, 3 GB for 12,50€ (max 30 days). To get this price, one has to activate a special offer before activating a data pack, sending SMS with the word PLANAHORRO to 2525. http://www.lycamobile.es/es/bundle?id=2 SIMs are available in many local shops like Telecor, HolaMobi, Small World, Europhil, newspaper/tabacco shops, gas stations and Post offices. |

The announcement of their new tariff late last year didn't mention 4G either. See here for example: http://ahorro.acierto.com/movil/voda...nutos-15-euros Last but not least a Google combination of Vodafone Smartphone Internacional and 4G (the term LTE is not so known in Spain) doesn't lead to any hits. EDIT: This is really Vodafone's biggest secret: http://www.xatakamovil.com/vodafone/...o-los-consumes There are very few prepago tariffs open for 4G/LTE and they don't feature it. I don't get it. Thanks for the info. |

Tuenti started activating 4G to all the customers a few days ago:
https://www.tuenti.com/movil/soporte...da?id=94415728 There is also a special promotion for additional 1GB at 4€ valid until 25th of September. It seems like we will see some more MVNOs starting offering 4G on prepaid in the next weeks. |

Hi there. I'm new to the site and hoping someone can give me some up to date information please.
My family has an apartment in Spain and we visit a few times a year for between a few days and up to three weeks at a time. We have a mobile router permanently there. We're looking for a data only sim card that allows video streaming (a lot seem not to), that we can top up when we need. Currently we go to the local locatorio and buy a prepaid card by Spotfav, usually 10GB costs us €39 and is valid for up to 28 days. This is usually enough for a three week holiday, with the whole family online. Does anyone know a better solution please? |

I've had great luck with Tuenti the last few times I've been to Spain. I haven't tried video streaming but I think the chances of it working on that network are excellent.

Does Vodafone ES offer any kind of roaming option for data?
I'm going for 10 days in Spain and a couple of days at the end in France. I thought Vodafone in other countries offered this as an add on or something for their prepaid products. |
