Default looking for global roaming +44 sim, betamax friendly - 30-11-2012, 10:05

Thanks to this forum i've been using Channel island SIM cards for years. They come and go and I've had to change the number and supplier a few times but all was well until recently.

My current sim with travelsim / 07mobile stopped accepting calls from Betamax network. This means that most of my co-workers, friends and family can't call me on this SIM number because everyone uses Betamax. I can't do callbacks so unfortunately i have to find a new solution.

Has anyone recently done a comparison between all the new prepaid UK sim cards (such as Lebara and O2) in terms of roaming fees and call charges?

Is129 you better choose piranha mobile simcard..their +4474185 number is not a high termination number so is accessible from all telephone operators!
plus they offer a free US number without additional charge when receiving calls through it.

I recommend the experience

Vodafone Passport – Save Money Calling the UK from Abroad on Pay as you go – Vodafone (uk) or vodafone portugal!

Or

Maxroam - International Travel SIM Card - Cheap Roaming Data / Calls (uk)

Or

www.xxsim.com (estonia)

My favorite sim and VoIP for roaming in Europe and worldwide:

UWT-mobile and Xxsim: for call+sms in Europa extern and Worldwide
ToggleMobile: for internet+call+sms only in EU intern
(VoIP/Sip) FriendCaller or SipCall.ch
: Worldwide sms+call
