Did it work in Germany, instead? Since here it's still not working (in Italy), but some friends had it working (always in Italy)... so it could be some UM problem, rather than geographic...

Yes, in German it worked as I mentioned several messages earlier.

Effendi, isn't your UM+ working yet?
My UM+ works correctly with all networks here in Italy. Next week I'm in Belgium and I'll test UM+ there as well.

I didn't try today (I left it at home), but it was not working yet...

Sorry to report...and they've had several days on this that they haven't resolved the issue of the caller getting the message that "we are unable to complete your international call as dialed. Please check the number and dial again or ask your operator for assistance." This implies the number is wrong and that means a person getting that message will assume the number is wrong and won't try again.

This is a very serious matter and there is no reason why it is taking so long for them to resolve. I reported the problem to them via e mail and they haven't responded. Too bad as this can be an excellent service but such things just shouldn't happen.

I agree. This a critical functionality that they need to get fixed. I am also surprised they released the sim for mass market without testing this. Leaving the phone on 24/7 does not solve the issue either since there will not always be service.

I've been in France a day. My SIM card got here before me as I was a couple of days later than planned.

I've just activated the SIM online, not added any credit yet, and the phone rang when the number was dialled from my O2 phone

Numbers in 075 have been allocated for a few months now, but seem to be only just appearing in use. Part of the reason why IoM SIMs aren't reachable from some providers is that they haven't enabled +4476 in their dialplans

They UM+ cards always work when newly activated, but they die one or two days later. This may be the case for your card in France.

Mine is still dead, while it was ok at the beginning. Only 089 works, nothing else.
