Hi all
Just to say I am now in Shanghai and both China Unicom and China Mobile do not work with my Wind Sim (Mega no limit data) but my UK Virgin sim allows me to go online using UK Virgin GPRS settings with China Mobile so it would seem Wind have not come to any agreement with either of these 2 networks. If anyone has a way of getting the Mega No limit option working within China please post ASAP. cheers |

I was in Germany and UK for a few weeks. The WIND GPRS access worked great! Great to have that Internet access while I was on the road. Also surprised to see how well GPRS access continued to work even though I was travelling at 130kph on the Autobahn (wife was driving ).
I had a couple of questions: i) Anyone know if WIND based GPRS access is available in South Africa? It's not listed at http://www.prepaidgsm.net/forum/inde...showtopic=1268 ii) If I cancel my MEGA NO LIMIT now, can I leave my WIND 'contract' idle for the next few months? The intention is to add the funds to my WIND account and resubscribe to MEGA NO LIMIT when I start travelling again. Thanks |

Officially there's no GPRS roaming in South Africa, but Wind's site is never updated, so it could work even if I have some doubts about it...
You can leave the card idle, just remember to refill it at once once every 11 months (using also O2 top ups) and make a call/send an SMS once every 3 months. Has anyone had any luck with the credit card top-up for WIND? It allowed 2 credits in June but since has rejected all my orders - the details were exactly the same.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Edmund |

Hi all
Just to say the 40497 network (is that it's real name?) in India works with the Wind sim mega no limit option. Might help someone who might be travelling this way at some point... |
